Founded in 2018 by Saurabh Mehrotra and Rakesh Thekkinkatil Padinjaremaddm, Xpergia Limited UK was born out of a simple but pointed observation: the IT consulting industry had a credibility problem.

Across the sector, large firms were winning major engagements on the strength of their finest engineers and architects, only to hand the actual delivery to teams that did not share the same calibre, ownership mindset, or stake in the client’s success. Promises made at the sales table too often unravelled at the delivery table.

Xpergia India — A New Chapter Opens.

In June 2023 by Saurabh Mehrotra and Rakesh Thekkinkatil Padinjaremaddm, Xpergia India Limited opened its doors in Kochi, Kerala — one of the world’s fastest-growing engineering hubs.

The expansion was never about scaling headcount for its own sake, but about finding engineers and architects who shared the exact same calibre, ownership mindset, and genuine stake in the client’s success that had defined the founding team back in the United Kingdom. June 2023 · a new chapter, opened on the same people and the same standards.

The Gap We Saw.

Two sides of one engagement — rarely connected.

Both founders had spent years inside the prevailing consulting model and had grown uneasy with the pattern they kept seeing. Clients were paying premium rates on the understanding that the senior people who shaped the pitch would also shape the work — but in practice, the team that walked into the project was rarely the team that had walked into the room.

The engineers carrying the delivery were often several steps removed from the business outcomes their work was meant to support, and accountability tended to live in steering-committee slides rather than in the day-to-day of the team. The consequence was predictable — ownership was diluted, empathy for the client’s problem was thin, and the people closest to the code often had the least sense of why it mattered.

Saurabh and Rakesh believed clients deserved better. A partner where the people who promise the work are the people who do the work. Where ownership runs all the way down to the engineer writing the commit. Where understanding the client’s business is treated as part of the job, not an optional extra.
